After 17 Years, KUA VP Resigns

KISSIMMEE, Fla., June 15, 2007 – Kissimmee Utility Authority today bids farewell to vice president of customer service and marketing Mike Geraghty. Geraghty resigned his position after 17 years with the utility.

Geraghty has been a part-time college professor for eight years and is exploring a full-time career in the education field.

Geraghty joined the utility in 1989. He managed the utility’s customer financial services division for 13 years before being promoted to department vice president in 2003.

Geraghty holds a doctorate in industrial organizational psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minn. as well as a bachelor’s and master’s degree in human resource management from Barry University in Miami, Fla.

Geraghty managed all aspects of KUA’s customer service operation, including utility billing, meter reading, call center, cash management, collections, residential and commercial energy audits and power theft.

Geraghty will continue to serve KUA in a consulting capacity for the next three months to facilitate a seamless transition.
