KISSIMMEE, Fla., June 4, 2015 – The Kissimmee Utility Authority board of directors on Wednesday awarded a $2.8 million contract to Largo, Fla.-based Leisure Construction for construction of a new vehicle parking facility and expansion of the utility’s existing fleet maintenance area.
The 21,000-square-foot building will house the utility’s fleet of service trucks, providing increased security for the equipment. An additional 5,200 square feet of training facilities and office space will be built adjacent to the vehicle building. This facility will serve as the crew staging area during storms and other disaster-related events.
The expansion of the fleet maintenance area will include the addition of one service bay to provide greater working height for larger utility vehicles.
