KISSIMMEE, Fla., September 2, 2016 – Responding to a request from a hurricane-battered utility, crews from Kissimmee Utility Authority traveled to Tallahassee this morning to assist with the restoration of power.
As part of KUA’s mutual-aid agreement with utilities throughout the state, the utility sent 10 linemen and a convoy of vehicles and supplies to assist crews in Tallahassee. Florida’s capital city is working to restore service to 70,000 customers who lost power after Hurricane Hermine battered the area overnight.
Those who traveled from KUA includes Lars Akkerman, Jamie Boswell, Allen Carver, Robert Diaz, Danny Kelly, Dustin Kelley, Jon Latiolais, Kevon McKinsey, Shane Paras and Bob Viele.
