KISSIMMEE, Fla., October 10, 12:00 noon – Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) will hold an open house at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13 to receive public comment on proposed electrical facilities for the Pleasant Hill Road area of Kissimmee.

Growth along the Pleasant Hill Road corridor in recent years has resulted in KUA’s current electric infrastructure nearing its capacity. To keep up with this growth and provide area residents with reliable service, KUA plans to invest $18 million to update and construct new electrical facilities.

The open house will provide information about the project, including detailed maps and photos of the proposed facilities. Utility engineers will also be available to address questions and concerns.

The open house will be held at KUA’s administrative offices, located at 1701 W. Carroll Street in Kissimmee.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 170,000 residents in five Central Florida counties.
