KUA president and general manager Jim Welsh joined employees from the utility’s customer service and marketing department to unveil the dedication plaque.

The 900-square-foot Beck Training Room, located within KUA’s customer service center, is used by utility employees for training and educational seminars and is also available free of charge to interested nonprofit and community groups. The room features classroom and lecture seating, podium, PC with high-speed Internet/email connectivity, LCD projection system, DVD/VHS playback equipment and ample whiteboard space.

A 15-year employee of the utility, Beck retired in January 2003 and died from cancer in December of that same year.
