KISSIMMEE, Fla., July 3, 2007 – Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) has been lighting the city of Kissimmee since 1901. On Wednesday evening, they’ll light the sky.

KUA is a proud sponsor of Kissimmee’s 2007 Fourth of July Celebration on July 4. The event begins at 5 p.m. and will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Tohopekaliga at approximately 9 p.m., sponsored by the utility.

In addition, KUA will provide a giant children’s area with complimentary sno-kones, patriotic crafts and inflatable rides.

The event will feature live concerts by Eddie Money and Hotel California, an Eagles tribute band. Money is an American rock musician and singer who found success in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of Top 40 hits and platinum albums.

Complete details about the event can be found online at http://www.kissimmee.org/ch_dept_parks.aspx?id=412.

Event admission and parking in downtown Kissimmee is free.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 170,000 residents in five Central Florida counties.
