KUA Wins 11 International Communications Awards

KISSIMMEE, Fla., June 1, 2011 – Kissimmee Utility Authority’s annual report, hurricane handbook, electrical safety calendar and 25th anniversary poster have been honored with a combined 11 awards in the 17th annual Communicator Awards program.

Founded by communication professionals over a decade ago, the Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. The IAVA is an invitation-only, member-based organization of leading professionals from various disciplines who are dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. IAVA membership represents a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms.

The Communicator Awards received over 6,000 entries this year from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards programs of its kind in the world.

The Award of Excellence, the highest honor, is given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field. The Award of Distinction is presented to projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.
