KISSIMMEE, Fla., August 11, 2011 – Kissimmee Utility Authority’s 2009 annual report this week captured a statewide award in the Golden Image Awards, an annual competition sponsored by the Florida Public Relations Association. The award was presented as part of FPRA’s 73rd annual conference in Naples, Fla.
The competition recognizes companies that exhibit and employ comprehensive public relations projects that meet the highest standards of excellence in four components of PR programming: research, planning, execution and evaluation.
A Golden Image Award is presented to the top-scoring entry in a respective category.
KUA’s 2009 annual report, titled “Let it Shine,” featured the photos and personal stories of 10 community leaders who partnered with KUA to “shine a light” in a community struggling for survival in the economic downturn. The report can be accessed at www.kua.com/annualreport.
KUA has earned 253 local, state, national and international communication awards for public relations programs, special events, community relations and publications since 1995.
The Florida Public Relations Association (www.fpra.org) is the oldest public relations organization in the United States.
