KISSIMMEE, Fla., April 11, 2011 – Kissimmee Utility Authority’s 2009 annual report has received a silver ADDY award from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) in its District 3 regional competition.
Honored in the four-color annual report category, the utility’s report previously earned a gold ADDY at the local level of competition.
The report – titled “Let it Shine” – shines a light on the utility’s partnerships with local agencies to help those in need during these difficult financial times. The report also features complete utility financial documents that can be viewed or downloaded. The report is available online at http://www.kua.com/Corporate/Press/Reports/2009/index.html.
The annual report was produced by KUA’s corporate communications department with assistance from graphic design firm Popcorn Initiative of Greenville, SC and commercial photographer Ed McDonald of Longwood, Fla.
The ADDY Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. The awards are unique among competitions because they include three rigorous levels of judging: local, regional and national/international.
KUA’s entry will now advance to the national level of competition. Winners will be announced June 4.
Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 64,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
