Kissimmee Utility Authority has been lighting the city of Kissimmee since 1901. On Wednesday evening, we’ll light the sky, too.

KUA is a proud sponsor of Kissimmee’s Monumental 4th of July Celebration on Wednesday, July 4 at Kissimmee Lakefront Park. Festivities kick off at 5:00 p.m. and will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Tohopekaliga at 9:30 p.m., co-sponsored by the utility.

Free entertainment will be offered throughout the day, including performances by Doug E. Fresh, C+C Music Factory, the Gerry Williams Band with host Joey Fatone of NSYNC. Food and beverage concessions and craft vendors will be located throughout the park. KUA will host its Kids Power Zone with complimentary snow cones, patriotic craft station and inflatable rides for all ages.

“We are proud to sponsor Osceola County’s largest Independence Day celebration,” said Jim Welsh, KUA president and general manager. “It’s an honor for us to play a role in this annual celebration as we mark our nation’s 242nd birthday.”

Complete event details can be found online at www.MonumentalJuly4th.com.

Event admission and parking in downtown Kissimmee are free.

Founded in 1901, KUA is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility powering 74,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla. For more information, visit http://kua.com.
