Vice President of Finance and Administration
The Finance & Administration Department ensures the financial integrity of KUA while maintaining competitive rates. The department provides administration of all financial activities of the utility, including financing of major projects as well as the investment of funds.
The department is responsible for financial reporting, including KUA financial transactions and analysis, preparation of monthly financial reports, preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and the Annual Budget. These documents are instrumental in the financial planning for the utility in the short and long run.
In addition, the department is responsible for the purchasing of all goods and services for KUA, managing the materials distribution and warehouse functions, overseeing fleet operations, and maintaining KUA’s facilities.
Hired by KUA in 2017, Kevin Crawford brings more than 20 years of financial and accounting experience to the utility. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of the Southern California Public Power Authority. In addition, he served more than seven years in a variety of capacities at Gainesville Regional Utilities, including Senior Utility Analyst, Financial Analysis and Compliance Manager, as well as Interim Finance Director.
Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Florida.
