KISSIMMEE, Fla., December 7, 2010 – Engineering technician Henry Kurnick has been named Kissimmee Utility Authority’s 2010 employee of the year. The selection was announced at a company-wide employee meeting held Tuesday morning at the utility.
Kurnick was chosen from this year’s 12 employees of the month. With this honor comes a plaque, $200 cash, two days off with pay and a reserved parking space.
A graduate of Osceola High School, Kurnick began his career at KUA on Jan. 4, 1988 as a utility lineman. He currently holds responsibility for the design of distribution system extensions, modifications and repairs.
Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 64,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
