KISSIMMEE, Fla., January 4, 2011 – Joseph Hostetler, MBA, vice president of finance and risk management at Kissimmee Utility Authority, is one of 10 winners named in the Orlando Business Journal’s Chief Financial Officer of the Year Awards.
Hostetler was one of two winners in the Government category. His accomplishments were featured in the Dec. 17, 2010 edition of the Orlando Business Journal.
A panel of judges from the publication reviewed nominations and selected the top candidates based on professional achievements, contributions to company growth, challenges overcome, community service, and ability to successfully perform at a high standard during a difficult economic time.
Hostetler, 58, joined the utility in 1987 as accounting supervisor and was promoted to his current position in 1988. He holds an accounting degree from the University of Florida and an MBA from Rollins College. He and his wife, Jane, have been married for 21 years and have two children.
In addition to his responsibilities at the utility, Hostetler serves as chairman of the risk oversight committee at the Florida Municipal Power Agency in Orlando.
