KUA Completes Power Restoration in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla., March 30, 2011 – Severe thunderstorms, lightning and high winds on Wednesday afternoon left 831 Kissimmee residents without electric service. Outages were scattered throughout the Kissimmee area.

Most of the outages occurred during the height of the storm at 5:04 p.m. All power was restored by 9:10 p.m.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 64,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
