KISSIMMEE, Fla., March 14, 2013 – Kissimmee Utility Authority has contracted with Paymentus to process all customer credit and debit card payments, effective April 16, 2013.
The new contract represents a reduction in processing fees for most customers of the utility who pay their bills with a credit or debit card.
The new service fee for residential payments will be $4.95 with a maximum payment of $700. The fee for a commercial payment is $29.95 with a maximum payment of $1,500. Multiple payments can be made if the charge total exceeds the maximum payment amount, but a service fee will be assessed to each individual transaction. Credit cards accepted under the new contract are Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Customers who are currently enrolled in credit card drafting for their monthly bill will need to set up a new payment profile on KUA’s website after April 16.
Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility powering 64,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
