KISSIMMEE, Fla., November 10, 2011 – Kissimmee Utility Authority today launched a new website designed to streamline the process for scheduling its large community grill, aka The Big Grill.
The website – http://www.TheBigGrill.com – incorporates a fresh look and intuitive navigation to provide area schools, churches, nonprofit and community groups with a convenient way to secure the grill for upcoming fundraising, civic and social events. The website includes a grill calendar, downloadable forms and a photo gallery of past events.
The trailer-mounted grill is loaned out to groups free of charge as part of the utility’s community outreach program. The grill features a 40-square-foot cooking surface, fueled by two 40-pound propane tanks, as well as a 35-gallon water storage tank and four collapsible food preparation areas.
Since 2010, the grill has been loaned out to 74 organizations and served a combined 40,070 meals.
Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 64,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
