KISSIMMEE, Fla., April 26, 2016 – Kissimmee Utility Authority’s hurricane guide has been honored with two awards in the 22nd Annual Communicator Awards, the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence.
The utility’s 2015 Osceola Hurricane Handbook received an Award of Excellence in the educational brochure category and an Award of Distinction for overall brochure design.
The 40-page guide featured information on emergency shelters, evacuation routes, generator safety and power outage restoration as well as helpful telephone numbers, a disaster supplies checklist and a tropical cyclone tracking chart.
The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
