KUA Mourns the Loss of Roger Wisler

KISSIMMEE, Fla., March 10, 2009 – Kissimmee Utility Authority is mourning the loss of one of its own.

Roger C. Wisler, a 20-year employee of the utility, died March 4 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 44.

Wisler worked as a power plant operator/mechanic in the utility’s power supply department.

“We mourn the loss of a good friend and dedicated employee,” said KUA president and general manager Jim Welsh. “Roger kept the electricity flowing in Kissimmee for two decades. He will be missed greatly.”

A memorial service was held on Sunday in St. Cloud.

Wisler is survived by his wife and two children.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 64,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
