KISSIMMEE, Fla., August 3, 2016 – To prevent customers from overlooking past due bills and disconnect notices, Kissimmee Utility Authority offers a complimentary third-party notification program.
The program allows customers to designate a relative, friend, clergy member or social service agency to be notified in the event the customer is in jeopardy of having service disconnected for nonpayment. The third party has no obligation or responsibility for the bill but can assist with arrangements for continuing electric service without interruption.
“With school starting soon, this program is terrific for parents of college students living off campus,” said KUA’s vice president of customer service Susan Postans. “It gives parents a little extra peace of mind.”
Third-party notifications are available to all residential customers, with the consent of both parties.
To register, please contact KUA’s customer service center at (407) 933-9800 or email at customerservice@kua.com.
Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility powering 70,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
