KISSIMMEE, Fla., October 23, 5:00 p.m. – In anticipation of high winds and rain from Hurricane Wilma, Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) offices will be closed for normal business on Monday, Oct. 24. An operations meeting will be held on Monday morning to determine hours of operation for the remainder of the week.
All employees of KUA should report to work as scheduled on Monday. During inclement weather, employees are urged to exercise discretion and sound judgment regarding travel since safe transportation to and from utility offices depends on many factors, such as distance and road conditions.
Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 170,000 residents in five Central Florida counties.
