KISSIMMEE, Fla., January 3, 2017 – Kissimmee Utility Authority has released its 2017 Calendar of Electrical Safety, featuring the winning entries from its 23rd annual student art contest.
The calendars are available free of charge at KUA’s customer service center, located at 1701 W. Carroll Street in Kissimmee.
Open to Osceola County students in kindergarten through fifth grade, the contest is designed to promote safety around electricity among students and their families. This year, a total of 1,944 entries were received from 33 Osceola County elementary schools, including public, private and charter schools.
The winners are:
— Bellalago Academy – Noah Fermin, grade 5
— Canoe Creek Charter Academy – Samarah Sobredo, grade 5
— City of Life Christian Academy – Angelina Ikram, grade 3; Valerie Sical, grade 3
— Holy Redeemer Catholic School – Luiza Aranda, grade 3
— Kissimmee Charter Academy – Sophia Cubilla, grade 4 (grand prize winner)
— Mill Creek Elementary School – Jalyanis Figueroa, grade 4; Alanis Rivera, grade 5; Loreinys A. Rivera, grade 3
— Pleasant Hill Elementary School – Isabella Sanson, grade 3
— Poinciana Christian Preparatory School – Aliyah Bonilla, grade 3
— Sunshine State Elite Academy – Keyshliannie Burgos, grade 3
