KUA Restores Power To 99.6 Percent Of Customers; 233 To Go

KISSIMMEE, Fla., August 26, 7:00 p.m. – Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) crews continue to work into the night on Thursday to restore power to customers across Osceola County. The utility reported Thursday evening that 233 customers remain without power as a result of Hurricane Charley. As Central Florida’s hardest hit utility, KUA has successfully restored electric service to 57,767 customers capable of receiving power, or 99.6 percent.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric service to 58,000 customers in Osceola County.
