KISSIMMEE, Fla., November 28, 2017 – Kissimmee Utility Authority, in partnership with the City of Kissimmee, will host the holiday edition of its monthly Movie in the Park series on Friday, December 1 on the civic lawn of Kissimmee’s Lakefront Park.
The event will feature the animated film “The Polar Express,” shown on a giant 32-foot screen. The movie will feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Attendees will enjoy free popcorn, themed activities, holiday crafts and snow tubing on eight tons of fresh snow. Admission to the snow tubing will be one non-perishable or canned food item or $1 per person which will be donated to a local food bank to replenish food distributed during the holidays.
Through hands-on demonstrations, the event will also be an opportunity for customers to learn how to decorate their home for the holidays with energy savings in mind.
Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the movie at 7 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
