KISSIMMEE, Fla., January 3, 2017 – Kissimmee Utility Authority, in partnership with the City of Kissimmee, will host a free Movie in the Park event on Friday, January 6 on the civic lawn of Kissimmee’s Lakefront Park.
The event will feature the animated comedy-adventure film “The Secret Life of Pets,” shown on a giant 32-foot screen. The movie will feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Attendees will enjoy free admission, free popcorn, themed activities, trivia contests and prize giveaways. Through hands-on demonstrations, the event will also be an opportunity for customers to learn how to lower their monthly utility bills.
In addition, the utility will be partnering with Osceola County Animal Services to provide discounted onsite pet adoptions and an “Ask the Vet” information booth. A live K-9 demonstration will be offered by the Kissimmee Police Department.
Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the movie at 7 p.m. Bring a lawn chair, blanket and a picnic dinner.
