KISSIMMEE, Fla., September 9, 2014 – Kissimmee Utility Authority, in partnership with the City of Kissimmee, will launch a new family-friendly Movie in the Park series, beginning in October and continuing through March 2015.
Scheduled for the first Friday of each month, the series will be held on the civic lawn of Kissimmee’s Lakefront Park, beginning with activities at 6 p.m. followed by the movie at 7 p.m.
Attendees will enjoy free admission, free popcorn, themed activities, trivia contests and prize giveaways. Through hands-on demonstrations, the events will also be an opportunity for customers to learn how to lower their monthly utility bills.
The movies will be shown on a giant 14-foot LED screen with sound system. All movies will feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Movie line-up for the fall includes:
October 3 – The Lego Movie
November 7 – Maleficent
December 5 – (Holiday double feature)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon) and The Polar Express
Bring a lawn chair, blanket and a picnic basket, too.
