
KISSIMMEE, Fla., July 2, 2013 – Kissimmee Utility Authority has been lighting the city of Kissimmee since 1901. On Thursday evening, we’ll also light the sky.
KUA is a proud sponsor of Kissimmee’s 2013 Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4 in Lakefront Park. Festivities kick off at 5:00 p.m. and will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Tohopekaliga at 9:10 p.m., sponsored by the utility.
Entertainment will take place on two stages and KUA will host the KUA Kids’ Power Zone with complimentary sno-kones, a patriotic craft station and inflatable slides.
“We are proud to be a sponsor of Osceola County’s largest Independence Day celebration,” said Jim Welsh, KUA president and general manager. “It’s an honor for us to play a role in this annual celebration as we mark our nation’s birthday.”
