KISSIMMEE, Fla., July 2, 9:00 am — The Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) is a proud sponsor of the City of Kissimmee’s 2001 Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration. The event will feature live entertainment, a water ski show, face painting, pony rides, rock climbing wall, food vendors, arts and crafts, free KUA bucket truck rides, children’s activities, and a spectacular fireworks display — also sponsored by KUA.

This year’s event also features a 2-hour concert by national country musicians Daryle Singletary, Rhett Atkins, and Jeff Carson. These three musicians make up the “Honky Tonk Tailgate Party” tour and will take the stage at 7:00 pm.

“Once again we’re delighted to be part of this celebration of America‘s birthday,” said KUA President & General Manager Jim Welsh. “We’re also proud to co-sponsor this year’s fireworks spectacular with the City of Kissimmee.”

The festivities begin at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, with the fireworks scheduled to light up the skies over Lake Tohopekaliga at approximately 9:00 p.m.
