KISSIMMEE, Fla., June 5, 2012 – Kissimmee Utility Authority’s energy conservation guide, hurricane preparedness handbook, power plant brochure and community grill website have been honored with a combined four awards in the 18th annual Communicator Awards program
Founded by communication professionals almost two decades ago, the Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. The IAVA is an invitation-only, member-based organization of leading professionals from various disciplines who are dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. IAVA membership represents a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms, including Condé Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Estée Lauder, Lockheed Martin, MTV Networks, Pitney Bowes, Time, Inc., Wired, and Yahoo!
The Communicator Awards received over 6,000 entries this year from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards programs of its kind in the world.
The Award of Excellence, the highest honor, is given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field. The Award of Distinction is presented to projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.
