KISSIMMEE, Fla., November 15, 2016 – Kissimmee Utility Authority won five awards in the Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards, a national competition sponsored by the American Public Power Association. The winners were announced at the association’s 50th annual Customer Connections Conference held last week in Nashville, Tennessee.
The awards honored electric utilities in three categories: web/social media, video and print/digital.
In the web/social media category, KUA received an award of excellence for its promotion of Lineman Appreciation Day and an award of merit for its new website. KUA’s 2015 annual report and 2016 Osceola Hurricane Handbook were honored with awards of merit in the print/digital category. The utility’s Movie in the Park promotional videos were recognized with an award of merit in the video category. Video 1 | Video 2
KUA was the nation’s most honored utility in this year’s competition.
