KISSIMMEE, Fla., June 19, 2007 – Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) has earned five awards in the 2007 Communicator Awards, an international awards program that honors excellence in printed communications.
Entries are judged by communications professionals who look for companies and individuals whose work meets a high standard of excellence and serves as a benchmark for their respective industries. There were 5,981 entries received from throughout the United States and several foreign countries in this year’s competition.
KUA received awards of excellence for its residential energy guide, 2006 annual report and annual report photography. Awards of distinction were presented to the utility for its Cane Island Power Park brochure and 2005 employee holiday ad.
KUA was the only Florida utility to be honored in this year’s competition. Other notable winners included AARP, Costco Wholesale, JCPenney, State Farm and Wells Fargo.
KUA has earned 205 local, state, national and international communication awards for public relations programs, events and publications since 1995.
