Free ‘Movie in the Park’ Series Returns to Kissimmee Lakefront Park

Kissimmee Utility Authority’s popular Movie in the Park series will resume in October and continue through March 2018.

The series is scheduled for the first Friday of each month on the civic lawn of Kissimmee’s Lakefront Park. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the movie at 7 p.m.

Attendees will enjoy free admission, free popcorn, themed activities, trivia contests and prize giveaways. Through hands-on demonstrations, the events will also be an opportunity for customers to learn how to lower their monthly utility bills.

The movies will be shown on a giant 32-foot screen with sound system. All movies will feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.

The movie line-up for the fall includes:

October 6 – The Boss Baby
November 3 – Trolls
December 1 – The Polar Express

Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic-style dinner.

More than 13,000 residents attended last year’s Movie in the Park series.
