KISSIMMEE, Fla., September 1, 2015 – Kissimmee Utility Authority’s popular Movie in the Park series will resume in October and continue through March 2016.
The series is scheduled for the first Friday of each month with the exception of January, due to the New Year’s Day holiday. In that month, it will be held on January 8. The series will be held on the civic lawn of Kissimmee’s Lakefront Park, beginning with activities at 6 p.m. followed by the movie at 7 p.m.
Attendees will enjoy free admission, free popcorn, themed activities, trivia contests and prize giveaways. Through hands-on demonstrations, the events will also be an opportunity for customers to learn how to lower their monthly utility bills.
The movies will be shown on a giant screen with sound system. All movies will feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Movie line-up for the fall includes:
October 2 – Paddington
November 6 – Avengers: Age of Ultron
December 4 – Elf
Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic-style dinner. The movie series is a partnership between KUA and the City of Kissimmee.
Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility powering 67,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
