KISSIMMEE, Fla., December 7, 2007 – With 18 years of experience and an outstanding commitment to service, Neil Beville has been named Kissimmee Utility Authority’s 2007 employee of the year.
The selection was announced at an employee breakfast held today at the utility.
Beville, a lead fleet mechanic, was chosen from this year’s 12 employees of the month. With this honor comes a plaque, a $400 U.S. Savings Bond, two days off with pay and a reserved parking space.
After graduating from Osceola High School in 1985, Beville attended Mid Florida Tech in Orlando to specialize in engine repair and rebuild. He began his career at KUA on November 6, 1989.
Beville and his wife reside in Orlando.
“Neil is one of those employees who continually goes the extra mile,” said KUA president and general manager Jim Welsh. “He does whatever it takes to keep the utility’s vehicle fleet on the road, and it’s that can-do attitude that makes him a valued employee.”
Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 170,000 residents in five Central Florida counties.
