We currently utilize on-line Contractor/Supplier solicitation notification system on myvendorlink for services and commodities. It allows Contractors and Suppliers to view and download solicitations at no cost 24-hours a day, seven days a week, from any computer with internet access. Registering ensures that Contractor/Suppliers receive notifications, and any changes to an advertised solicitation.
Utility Industry materials are advertised through Aursi, a web based supply chain solution for utilities.
Purchasing Thresholds
KUA’s method of purchase
$0.01—$3,500.00 Small Purchase (One quote)
$3,500.01—$25,000.00 Request for Quote (Three quotes obtained by the using department)
$25,000.01—$50,000.00 Request for Quote (RFQ Advertised by Procurement in VendorLink)
$50,000.01— and up Formal Solicitation (Advertised by Procurement in VendorLink)
Board of Director approval is required for awards of $100,000.00 or more.
Contractor/Supplier Requirements
Before being awarded any contract with KUA, Contractor/Suppliers are required to meet the following criteria:
- Active Status on Department of State Division of Corporations
- Occupational License
- Certificate of Insurance (for amounts listed on each solicitation)
- All required federal, state and local licenses and or permits required to successfully provide the services contained in a contractual agreement.
