Overview

This scholarship was established by the KUA Board of Directors in honor of their former Chairman of the Board, Reginald Hardee, for his decade of volunteer service on the Board of Directors. This scholarship is for a graduating student who currently resides in the KUA service territory. This scholarship is for a nine-month paid internship of a minimum of 20 hours per week working directly with the line-crew at Kissimmee Utility Authority. Finalists for this scholarship will be required to attend an orientation to allow them the opportunity to come on-site and learn more about the trade. Scholarship recipients are not required to work at KUA following their training, nor does the utility guarantee positions.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must be graduating from high school.
  • Applicant must be currently residing in the KUA service territory.
  • Applicant must be planning to pursue a career in the electric utility industry.
  • Applicant must be an Osceola County resident.
