KISSIMMEE — Kissimmee Utility Authority invites Osceola County students to showcase their artistic expression to promote energy conversation in the utility’s 28th Annual Calendar Art Contest.

The annual contest is open to Osceola County students enrolled in Kindergarten through fifth grade, including public, charter, private, and homeschooled students.

Students are asked to use crayons, markers or paints to depict an energy conservation message in their entry. A panel of local judges will select the 12 best entries to be used for each calendar month, which will be featured in the utility’s 2022 calendar.

Each student who submits an entry will receive a calendar and a chance to win tickets to Island H20 Water Park for the family.

The 12 winning students will have their artwork featured in the calendar and receive a $150 cash prize. A grand prize winner, selected from the 12 winning students, will have artwork featured on the calendar cover along with the student’s name and affixed to one of KUA’s fleet vehicles for one year.

To further encourage participation, the grand prize winner’s school will receive $750 in art supplies, and the school with the most total entries in the contest will receive $500 in art supplies.

The official entry form and contest details are available on the utility’s website at www.kua.com/calendar. Completed entries must be received at KUA offices, located at 1701 W. Carroll St. in Kissimmee, by Monday, November 15, 2020.
