Kissimmee Utility Authority invites Osceola County students to showcase their artistic expression to promote energy conservation in the utility’s 30th Annual Calendar Art Contest.

The annual contest is open to Osceola County students enrolled in Kindergarten through fifth grade, including public, charter, private, and homeschooled students.

Using their artistic inspiration, students can paint or draw art about energy conservation, which will serve as a year-round reminder for families about how to conserve energy while going about their daily routines.

Each student who submits an entry will receive a calendar and a chance to win tickets to Island H20 Water Park for the family.

The 12 winning students will have their artwork featured in the calendar and receive a $150 cash prize. A grand prize winner, selected from the 12 winning students, will have artwork featured on the calendar cover along with the student’s name, photo and artwork affixed to one of KUA’s fleet vehicles for one year.

To further encourage participation, the grand prize winner’s school will receive $750 in art supplies, and the school with the most entries in the contest will receive $500 in art supplies.

The 2024 calendars will be available free of charge at KUA’s customer service center at 1701 W. Carroll Street in Kissimmee. In addition to featuring artwork by local students, the calendars also will incorporate the Osceola County School District calendar for convenient planning.

The official entry form and contest details are available at www.kua.com/calendar. Completed entries must be received at KUA offices, located at 1701 W. Carroll St. in Kissimmee, by Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023.
