Kissimmee Utility Authority, in partnership with City of Kissimmee Special Events, will host its free monthly Movie in the Park series on Friday, January 6 on the civic lawn of Kissimmee’s Lakefront Park.
The event will feature the computer-animated buddy adventure comedy film “The Secret Life of Pets” shown on a giant 32-foot screen. Attendees will enjoy free popcorn and an assortment of family-friendly activities. The movie will feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Attendees will enjoy free admission, free popcorn, themed activities, trivia contests and prize giveaways. Through hands-on demonstrations, the event will also be an opportunity for customers to learn how to lower their monthly utility bills.
In addition, we’ll be partnering with Osceola County Animal Services to provide discounted onsite pet adoptions and an “Ask the Vet” information booth. We’ll also have a live K-9 demonstration by the Kissimmee Police Department.
Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the movie at 7. Bring a lawn chair, blanket and a picnic dinner, too.
