KISSIMMEE — Kissimmee Utility Authority, in partnership with the City of Kissimmee, will host a free Movie in the Park event on Friday, Oct. 1 at the veterans lawn of Kissimmee Lakefront Park. The movie event kicks off KUA’s annual 6-month Movie in the Park series held on the first Friday of every month, beginning October through March.
The event will feature Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon,” shown on a giant 50-foot screen. The movie will also feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Attendees will enjoy KUA’s inflatable Kids Power Zone, craft station, photo booth, free popcorn, and prize giveaways. Onsite concessions will be available.
Through hands-on demonstrations, attendees will also learn how to lower their monthly electric bills. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the movie at 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
