KISSIMMEE — KUA is thrilled to celebrate the utility’s 40th anniversary with a grand celebration as we kick off our 2025-2026 Movie in the Park season on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Veterans Lawn of Kissimmee Lakefront Park.
The special celebration will include KUA’s inflatable Kids Power Zone, free popcorn, craft station, photo booth, touch-a-truck, and prize giveaways beginning at 5:30 p.m. Guests can also enjoy free hot dogs and cake bites from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Onsite concessions will also be available. Children participating in inflatable activities must be accompanied by an adult to sign a waiver. To sign the waiver ahead of time, visit kua.com/waiver.
The event will feature “A Minecraft Movie,” shown on a giant 50-foot screen. The movie will also feature closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Attendees can also learn how to lower their monthly electric bills and can receive on-site energy audits by visiting the KUA Green Team at the utility’s new SunCatcher Solar Energy Trailer. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the movie at sunset. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
