KISSIMMEE— Kissimmee Utility Authority has launched a new online energy assessment tool to assist customers with managing their energy bill, just in time for the summer heat. The online tool allows customers to take a short 5-minute survey with specific information about their home and energy consumption habits and receive a customized report with solutions to help them lower their bill.
Customers can better understand their electric consumption and summer fluctuations while discover energy-saving ideas that are customized to their home, and simulate changes in their homes. To access the tool customers can visit kua.com/selfaudit and enter their information to begin the process.
“During the summer, Central Florida’s high temperatures and humidity can drive up electricity usage, leading to higher bills,” said Cindy Herrera, KUA’s interim Vice President of Customer Service. “This valuable tool will help customers take control of their energy use.”
In addition to the online energy assessment tool, KUA also offers free in-person energy audits through KUA’s Green Team. Customers can make an appointment with one of KUA’s certified energy auditors to survey their home’s windows, insulation, duct work, water heating, cooling and heating systems, and overall home efficiency. Customers are also given energy-saving solutions and other cost-effective energy-saving measures. Customers can visit kua.com/save to learn more.
Founded in 1901, KUA is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility powering 93,000 customers in Osceola County, Florida. For more information, visit www.kua.com.
