ORLANDO — For the fourth year in a row, Kissimmee Utility Authority received a Top Workplaces award by the Orlando Sentinel’s 2026 Top Workplaces program. KUA joined the area’s top 134 dynamic companies, which made the list based on achieving high employee satisfaction and being committed to making their company a great place to work. KUA was ranked 13th in the midsize employer category out of 24 companies. The list was published in the Sunday edition of the Orlando Sentinel, to view the list online click here.
The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC.
“Being named a Top Workplace for the fourth consecutive year reflects the culture our employees help build every day,” said KUA President and General Manager Brian Horton. “Their dedication, ideas and commitment to one another make KUA a stronger organization. We’re proud to support our employees with opportunities to grow, succeed and make a meaningful impact.”
The confidential survey uniquely measured 24 factors that are critical to the success of any organization, including engagement, leadership, appreciation, respect and support. KUA staff members were officially recognized during an awards luncheon Friday, Oct. 2 in Orlando.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
Founded in 1901, KUA is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility, powering 100,000 customers in Osceola County, Florida. For more information, visit www.kua.com.
