KISSIMMEE — Kissimmee Utility Authority received a 2024 Top Workplaces award by the Orlando Sentinel’s Top Workplaces program. KUA joined the area’s top 129 dynamic companies, which made the list based on achieving high employee satisfaction and being committed to making their company a great place to work. KUA was one of the top ten employers in the midsize employer category. The list was published in the Sunday edition of the Orlando Sentinel. To view the list online, click here.
The list includes companies from ten Central Florida counties and is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC.
“It’s truly humbling to receive such positive feedback from our staff members for the second consecutive year,” said KUA President and General Manager Brian Horton. “We value our commitment to creating a supportive and empowering environment for our employees.”
The confidential survey uniquely measured 24 factors that are critical to the success of any organization, including engagement, leadership, appreciation, respect and support. KUA staff members were officially recognized during an awards luncheon Friday, Sept. 27, in Orlando.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they allow employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
Founded in 1901, KUA is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility, powering 93,000 customers in Osceola County, Florida. For more information, visit www.kua.com.
