KISSIMMEE, Fla., Jan. 11, 2019 – Kissimmee Utility Authority, in partnership with the City of Kissimmee, will host a free Movie in the Park event on Friday, Feb. 1 on the veterans lawn of Kissimmee Lakefront Park.
The event will feature the live-action/computer-animated comedy film “Peter Rabbit,” shown on a giant 32-foot screen. The movie will feature closed captioning for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
Attendees will enjoy a kid’s inflatable fun zone, movie popcorn, trivia contest and prize giveaways. There will also be a craft area where guests can make their own “vegetable patch” slime to take home.
Through hands-on demonstrations, the event will also be an opportunity for customers to learn how to lower their monthly electric bills.
Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the movie at 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
