KISSIMMEE, Fla., January 9, 2018 – Kissimmee Utility Authority will host the 18th annual Florida Lineman Competition on Saturday, March 10 at Osceola Heritage Park.

Established in 2001 by the Florida Municipal Electric Association, the rodeo-style competition is where electric linemen from utilities throughout Florida come together for training and to demonstrate the skill, safety and teamwork of lineworkers in a series of timed events.

The event kicks off with opening ceremonies at 8 a.m. and the competition continues until approximately 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Kissimmee previously hosted the statewide competition in 2006 and a national rodeo in 2013.
