KISSIMMEE — Kissimmee Utility Authority has appointed Rhonda Reaves-Smith as the utility’s vice president of customer service, effective August 1. With over two decades of utility customer service experience, Reaves-Smith will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to KUA.
Reaves-Smith will report to KUA president and general manager Brian Horton and will oversee the utility’s customer service functions, including the call center, face-to-face customer care, energy conservation, emerging technologies, billing & collections, key accounts, and Automated Metering Infrastructure Operations.
Prior to joining KUA, Rhonda served as Assistant Director of Customer Operations with the City of Tallahassee, which included electric, water, natural gas and solid waste utilities. During her tenure at the City of Tallahassee, Reaves-Smith spearheaded the implementation of a new Customer Information Utility Billing System. Leading a team of professionals, she guided strategic decision-making concerning policies, procedures, and technological enhancements to elevate the overall customer experience.

Reaves-Smith holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University.
